🚫 Our No-Spam Policy

Peeringhub enforces a strict anti-spam and anti-fraud policy. Our enterprise customers are prohibited from using our phone numbers for unsolicited marketing, harassment, or any fraudulent activity.

All customers are required to immediately stop contacting any individual who adds their number to our internal Do Not Call (DNC) list. If you've added your number and still continue to receive calls, it is a clear violation of our policies and grounds for immediate investigation and possible service termination.

If you believe a customer is violating these terms:

  • File a complaint directly with us at www.peeringhub.com/unwanted-call.html
  • We strongly encourage you to escalate your complaint to federal and industry regulators, including:
    • Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
    • Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
    • USTelecom Industry Traceback Group

If we are approached by any regulatory or law enforcement agency, we will cooperate fully, including providing:

  • Customer identity and contact details

  • Any supporting data necessary to support an enforcement action

Bad actors who abuse telecom infrastructure must and will be held accountable.

Phone Number Lookup Result

This indicates that the number you are searching for is not currently leased or managed by Peeringhub or its enterprise customers.

What does this mean?
  • The number may be assigned to another carrier or service provider outside of Peeringhub’s network.
  • It may not be in active use or registered with Peeringhub at this time.
  • Alternatively, the number could be involved in fraudulent activity such as caller ID spoofing.
What should you do if you suspect spoofing?

Caller ID spoofing occurs when a caller deliberately falsifies the phone number information to disguise their identity. This can be used for scams or unwanted calls. If you suspect spoofing or receive suspicious calls, please follow these steps:

  • Do not provide any personal or sensitive information.
  • Record the call details: date, time, caller ID, and content if possible.
  • Report the issue to the following authorities:
  • Contact your direct phone service provider. They have the technical means to investigate spoofing by analyzing STIR/SHAKEN verification headers and tracing the origin of calls.
  • Consider blocking the suspicious number on your phone or via your service provider’s tools.
